The optional, pre-workshop splinting refresher lab is designed for the less experienced splint maker who would like to brush up on splinting techniques and material handling skills before beginning the intensive weekend workshops "Splinting for Neuro and Acute Care". In order to attend "Splinting Basics" you must also register for "Splinting for Neuro and Acute Care" (same weekend, same location). This is a hands-on splinting lab session only!

Learn to fabricate these splints:

• Wrist extension immobilization (wrist cockup) 1 design
• Thumb MP extension immobilization (forearm based thumb spica design)
• Thumb CMC immobilization (hand based) 1 design
• Wrist/Hand immobilization (Resting pan mitt) 1 design
